Dr. Dre continues to get his money outside the music industry. He’s got headphones, various endorsement deals … and now, an upcoming TV series?
The hip-hop legend has reportedly signed on to co-executive produce an hour-long TV show that focuses on the music industry and crime business.
According to Deadline.com, Dre has closed a deal with FX for the drama series, which will be penned by Sidney Quashie.
“[The show] explores present day Los Angeles through the lenses of the music business and the crime business,” writes Deadline.com.
Quashie and Dre will executive produce, with Daniel Schnider from Dre’s Crucial TV company and Brad Bertner co-executive producing.
